opportunities.

Are U sometimes too stressed to feel blessed?

And yet...have U ever known someone who is NOT perfect but
seemed to think they were
perfect?

Love Never Fails
Posted by Samuel W. on Gather.com (USA)

"There you go, caring for humanity again. Thank you. It is something when you can read
things that people write and just see love and knowledge seeping out from around each letter.

When we strive so hard to buy our children ‘designer things’ they start to get comfortable with
someone else setting standards in their lives. It is so easy to become a follower. When we are
like everyone else, not much is expected from us. There are fewer confrontations unless it is
towards those who we feel have less than we do.  It is just easier to replace direction with
material things. Maybe if they feel good about what they look like it will make them feel good
about the things that I don't have time to teach them.  Then too soon we have a whole world of
followers running around looking for someone to follow.

It is time for us to wake up and understand that it is our responsibility to teach our children that
they can be the one to set the standard and be a leader. Not by having the same thing
everyone else has but to look for something better.

Teach your children about love and compassion, it is something that must be taught, it
cannot be bought. It must come from the heart and not the wallet. It gives others hope in a
world were hope is a rare commodity. Love and Compassion, Love is the material God is
made of, Compassion is the ability we have to let it pass through us. Follow that.

Sorry got carried away. Just wanted to say I love you and may God continue to bless.”

COTTON PICKIN' PAYCHECKTM by Joan E. Gosier

"I ordered 3 copies one for me and 2 for friends off the LU LU's on line book shop.
Joan E. Gosier who is edified on MIM as the director of HBCUKIDZ on here wrote it.
Joan wrote it in on honour of her Daddy's 100th year Birthday (if he was still alive). Now
I am half way through and have learnd a lot and it has made me think a lot about things.

It is about your history being African American descendents. It explains a lot of history
from the names of historical / Biblical Egypt, Africa, Ethiopia, Iraq etc to give people
pride and knowledge.

The Book is from a historical and Biblical perspective, with the personal touch of
Joan's life incorporated into it.

Man she is a strong woman surviving 2 near death experiences, being bullied, growing
up and surviving.

Her love and marriage to her wonderful husband "Tommy" and the birth of her 2
beautiful daughters. The eldest who is only just 6 years old and she too has written a
book to empower kids. It too is on Lu Lu's.

Man what an inspiring family. Their aim is to empower African American people with
knowledge and inspirations.

Starting off with children so as they know that they are a somebody and that we all can
make a difference.

I strongly believe in this philosophy.

If you wanna peak preview check out Joan's HBCUKIDZ website.

I would like to discuss this book on here. Has anybody else read it yet or have a copy?
I strongly recommend it to all. White and Blacks alike. It tells it like it is so if you don't
like the truth well don't look at it."

"Everyone who reads this book will see a little of themselves in these pages!   Either who they
were, who they are, or who they've always wanted to be!  Thanks for sharing yourself!"
"...it is SO entertaining and full of 'life lessons'!  I especially
related to your high-school teller job (you know I worked as a
teller after school as well...)
Very funny and brought back lots of memories!"
"...It is everything I love in a book. It has real life situations like passion, fear , anger,
tears, pain, but most of all not giving up.
Being insistent, consistent, resistent and persistent. it will touch your heart and soul.
It is such an inspiration to all who read..."

"...I wish I had read it 20
years ago. I'm sure anyone
with a goal or dream or just
needing direction could use
your 'lessons' and
inspiration.  Keep writing!!! ..."
